Fiction: My solitude
(To the right of this page is a YouTube link to a song that encompasses my mental process as a writer.)
I had no idea what to do with my life. I had options, but nothing really stuck out to me. I originally wanted to be a movie producer, then a stage actor, something about cinema and being behind the scenes really intrigued me. But as I got older, I came to realize the amount of work and dedication it takes to make it in one or both fields. So, I tried my hand at writing fiction.
In a nutshell, I was self-taught after I encountered a cliffhanger ending from a not-so-little video game called God of War by Santa Monica Studios. From there, I took out my sketch pad, wrote a few paragraphs of ideas for the next part of the game's story, and my writing just took off from there. My pieces consist of short stories such as The Lone Soul series and a vampire slayer piece called, The Last Hunt.
12 years later, I finished one fan fiction novel that took place in Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series and one based on the Resident Evil saga. Currently, I am writing book 1 of a five part series that I intend to self-publish on Amazon once they are finished.
Every single day, my brain processes over a thousand story scenarios going in many different directions. Whether I'm at my day job, on my day off, taking long walks; it makes no difference. I write in silence, just letting the words flow from my brain onto the page. All in all, I feel a sense of completeness when I write. I can be myself.
