How's it hanging gamers, writers from all mediums, and friends? I'm going to break up the blog posts a bit and add some Author's notes for my future stories. The next few will present Potential Vampire Slayer Profiles based on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series. For those unaware, Tales of the Potentials takes place after Season 7 of the Buffy series and just a little before Season 5 of Angel. A demonic portal to the human world, the Hellmouth, has been closed in Sunnydale, California and was proclaimed as a prelude for what was to come. By mystical means, a hidden potential is awakened in every girl on the planet, giving them access to physical strength, a strong sense of situational awareness, adaptation, and an overwhelming responsibility they never asked for.

When the town of Sunnydale was reduced to a crater, the bridges between dimensional Hellmouths opened all over as well: India, Italy, Ireland, various U.S. states, demons and vampires alike no longer had the trouble of entering the mortal coil. Every Potential Slayer, adolescent and adult, had to step up and bring the fight to ensure mankind's survival. Now, the context of the plot will solely focus on the Potentials themselves, not so much the core characters such as Buffy and Spike. This will give fans and readers a gateway to how the other side goes through the struggles of being the Slayer. For some, it will come natural to them due to their athletic backgrounds. For others, it will be overcoming the fear of doing what they couldn't do before.

There are four otherworldly factions the Slayers must face during the ten year apocalypse:

-Black Thorn Legion

-The Immortal

-The First Evil

-Powers that Be

Not to mention everything in between like vampires, Vengeance Demons, and Alurian Dragons. I am aware that there is a Buffy comic book series that takes place after the show. Think of this story as an alternate tale; different perspectives, same universe. The next blog will introduce my first Potential Slayer, Elizabeth "Lizzy" Seymour.
